Ensenada to Barra de Navidad

01 Ensenada
First stop in Mexico!
02 Bahia Tortugas (Turtle Bay)
We made the 285 mile trip in 30 hours.
03 Bahia Magdalena
We waited out some weather for 3 nights here tucked into a corner of the bay.
04 San Jose del Cabo
San Jose is a small, colonial Mexican town unlike its noisy, touristy neighbor Cabo San Lucas.
05 Los Frailes
Los Frailes is the gateway to the Cabo Pulmo Reef which is a protected reef filled with thousands of marine species.
06 Ensenada de los Muertos
A beautiful cove with a lovely white sand beach and turquoise water. 
07 La Paz
We made it after two weeks and 800 plus miles to the Sea of Cortez!
08 Ensenada de la Raza
Our first anchorage on the island of Isla Espirito Santo. A national park dedicated to the protection of the animal and sea life of the island and its surrounding water.
09 Partida Cove
We ducked in here to wait out a few days of strong winds. It is a very protected anchorage and we enjoyed kayaking in the bay.
10 Caleta el Candelero
Great hiking among the red rocks up to a cave and seasonal waterfall. We saw fig trees that are pollinated by wasps that do not sting. 
11 Ensenada Grande
A picturesque cove with schools of manta rays that swam around the boat and leaped out of the water.
12 Isla Islotes
This is where we snorkeled with the sea lions
13 Bahia San Gabriel
Crystal, clear aqua water and nests of frigate birds.
14 Bahia Bonanza
Most beautiful, long sand beach
15 Isla San Francisco
Agate hunting on the beach and hiking up the soft, sand cliffs.
16 San Evaristo
A small fishing village set against the mountains of Baja's mainland.
17 Mazatlan
What a wonderful city with a nice balance of tourism and Mexican culture.
18 Isla Isabel

19 San Blas
Jungle tour and crocodiles!
20 Chacala
Chacala, a small, beautiful fishing village
21 La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
Our first stop in Banderas Bay!
22 Puerto Vallarta
A busy city set against the backdrop of the jungle and mountains.

A beautiful, small jungle village

25 Barra de Navidad
The furthest point south on our trip to Mexico.  A lovely seaside town!
26 Guadalajara
Road Trip! Great metropolitan city in the heart of Mexico.
27 San Miguel de Allende
Road trip continued to our favorite city in Mexico to visit old friends and eat at our favorite restaurants.
28 Topolobampo
A small sea port with a wonderful farmers market.
29 Barrancas del Cobre
The spectacular Copper Canyon!
